Products Description
Our transformer ground fault protection monitors the core and clamp grounding branches through two channels. It provides online monitoring, automatic limiting, and manual operating modes for multi-point grounding events.
Technical Principle
Current sensors measure sheath circulating current and cable load current at grounding points. The monitoring unit compares phase balance, magnitude, and trend changes to identify abnormal grounding, sheath faults, or excessive induced current.

Product Features
The transformer ground fault protection combines abnormal-current detection with an active limiting path. Separate core and clamp channels provide a clearer view of grounding behavior. Automatic and manual modes support both unattended operation and maintenance control. Three communication choices support retrofit and digital-substation projects.
Operating Conditions
The product shall be installed and operated within the ratings stated in the technical parameters. Key site requirements include: Operating temperature; Relative humidity; Power supply. Keep the installation area clean, adequately ventilated, free from corrosive gas and severe vibration, and provide the specified grounding, clearance, and power quality.

Product Advantages
- The transformer ground fault protection combines abnormal-current detection with an active limiting path.
- Separate core and clamp channels provide a clearer view of grounding behavior.
- Automatic and manual modes support both unattended operation and maintenance control.
- Three communication choices support retrofit and digital-substation projects.
Main Applications
The transformer ground fault protection is used for large transformers exposed to core or clamp multi-point grounding faults.
It is used where continued operation under a controlled grounding current is part of the protection plan.
Typical sites include transmission substations, power plants, and critical industrial systems.

FAQ
Q: What information is needed for model selection?
A: Confirm transformer grounding topology, normal current, fault-current expectation, alarm logic, and operating philosophy.
Q: What should be checked before installation?
A: Verify sensor orientation, limiting-circuit connection, isolation points, control power, and protection interlocks.
Q: How can the device or system be integrated?
A: RS485, IEC 61850, or 4G communication can be selected for measurements, alarms, and operating status.
Q: Which options should be confirmed before production?
A: Confirm both channel apertures, cable lengths, automatic or manual logic, communication, and cabinet arrangement.
